The Swarm Plot
Virginie (Suliane Brahim) is a single mother who tries hard to support her two children Laura (Marie Narbonne) and Gaston (Raphael Romand) by raising grasshoppers (swarms). The results of the livestock will then be roasted in the oven for sale. However, Virginie is facing problems, many grasshoppers die and few lay eggs so that the target quota cannot be met, their bills pile up and their two children are bullied because of their mother’s odd job. In her frustration, Virginie went on a rampage and ransacked her grasshopper cage and discovered that the grasshoppers liked blood. From here Virginie’s obsession with grasshoppers grew even more insane and she began to do things too far.
